Journey into Nature
Do you know that feeling you have after being outdoors, or gazing out a window at the natural world? You know, the one you get when your eyes relax and your gaze rests on the motion of leaves blowing in the wind, your ears pick up the sound of bird song, and after a bit of time you stop thinking and begin feeling. When you return, your body feels slack, your mind rested and focused, a sense of calm and relaxation has washed over you, and the world around you looks clearer and you feel good. Wouldn’t it be great to be that relaxed and focused all the time? Regardless of how connected you are to the natural world, you still live with stressors, still lose focus from time to time, and still get bogged down with thinking rather than feeling. The fact is, we ALL can benefit by deepening our connection to nature. In this podcast we’ll learn how to elevate our mental and emotional wellbeing by developing a deeper connection to nature. We’ll discuss various techniques for doing this, offer a bit of guided meditation, experience virtual forest bathing and practice nature immersion activities. You’ll increase your happiness and pleasure, increase your sense of self and purpose, and manage your emotions and mental wellbeing. You’ll also learn how to participate in more pro-environmental behavior and reduce your impact on the environment. Join us on this journey into nature and elevate your wellbeing.
